Notes: No matter what version of the Arthurian legend I’ve watched or read I’ve always found Morgana the most interesting character. “Merlin” has been no exception. I was struck by how awful it must be to be a seer to know that you are destined to betray and lose everything and everyone you hold dear. Merlin’s magic will go on to earn him authority, respect and love in Arthur’s Camelot whereas Morgana is destined to be alone and ostracised by her “gift” in short she is going to become very much like Nimueh. I wanted to explore that in this vid. I imagined that Nimueh was connected to Morgana in the same way as the Dragon is to Merlin. So here we have Nimueh converting Morgana into Morgan le Fay and rather enjoying herself while she’s doing it. The femslash vibe is entirely intentional so feel free to just look at the pretty.

This was made during my old comp’s death throes. As a result it isn’t quite as flash as originally conceived (only the title sequence remains of Charmax’s fancy Torchwood vid that never was) nevertheless I feel my fondness for team Torchwood does come across and that’s the main thing. Gwen and Jack have the best smiles in fandom.

What struck me most about the differences between LoM and A2A wasn’t so much the difference between 70s and 80s but more the socio-economic and regional differences. My 1980s childhood looked much more like LoM than A2A. I went out of my way to make comparisons between Alex’s Middle class 80s London and Sam’s working class Manchester. In case anyone was wondering the title sequence was heavily influenced by “The Sweeney.”

Bronze Ambition gets a new look! I hope y’all like it?

Vividcon convention, held every year in Chicago, the equivalent of the Oscars for vidders, is in 10 days time. Although I will not be going myself I have submitted 3 videos 2 of which premiere at Club Vivid (party night) and 1 which will show at the non-attending premiere show. This is just a heads up about me releasing all 3 online after Vividcon weekend. The Club Vivid vids are “Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes” and “Torchwood.” The other premiere is for a little known British drama “Fingersmith.”

Just a couple of updates.

Firstly, Astarte has written a fantastic, extensive review for “Deus Ibi Est.” Click here to read it.

Secondly, winter is upon us so Bronze Ambition gets a makeover. The winter theme will be the default skin for now. I hope y’all like it.
